I started using when I was very young. Both of my parents are addicts and had no recovery so when I was younger, drugs were just a part of my life and it seemed natural. As time went on, it just got worse and worse until I was completely broken. I lost everything, I had nothing, and I was mentally empty. I moved to Nashville in 2012 and finally got clean in 2013. NA is easily the greatest decision I have ever made in my life. At first, I needed relief from the desire to use. As I kept coming around, it became something so much more. NA has taught me how to be a person. I’ve been able to grow with the guidance of like-minded individuals and today I have stopped using, lost the desire to use, and found a new way of life and I am eternally grateful NA is here to offer that freedom.
