| I went to treatment because I couldn’t stop using drugs on my own, no matter what I tried. In treatment I was taken to my first Narcotics Anonymous meeting. I was amazed at what I found there; the room was filled with people who were telling my same story of addiction, and some of them were even the same age as me and looked like me. It felt like a safe place – like home. After that I kept coming back, attending at least a meeting a day for 90 days – and then some. Now over a decade later Narcotics Anonymous has provided a foundation for me to build a beautiful life upon. |
