Literature Subcommittee

The Literature Subcommittee helps ensure that every NA group in the Greater Middle Tennessee Area has access to official Narcotics Anonymous literature.

NA literature is one of the primary ways we carry the message of recovery. The Literature Committee makes it easy for groups to obtain books, pamphlets, key tags, and other recovery materials at cost, while also helping new groups get started with the literature they need.

The Literature Committee serves the Greater Middle Tennessee Area by:

  • Maintaining an inventory of approved NA literature and recovery materials.
  • Selling NA literature to groups at the monthly Area Service Committee meeting at cost.
  • Ordering additional literature as needed to keep an adequate supply available.
  • Providing starter kits and literature packages for new NA groups.
  • Conducting regular inventory to ensure accountability and accurate record keeping.
  • Holding subcommittee meetings to organize literature distribution and plan for future needs.
  • Serving as a communication link between local groups, the Area, and NA World Services regarding literature availability.

Everything the Literature Committee does is guided by the Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts of Narcotics Anonymous. The committee exists to make sure that NA groups have the literature they need to carry a clear, consistent message of recovery and that every addict in our Area has access to the written message of Narcotics Anonymous.
