Public Relations Subcommittee

REGULAR MEETINGS are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month @ 6p.

The Public Relations (PR) Subcommittee helps make sure people who need Narcotics Anonymous can find it.

Our goal is to build and maintain relationships with the public so that anyone seeking recovery—or anyone who works with addicts—can easily learn what NA is, what we do, and how to connect with a meeting. We don’t promote individual members or try to persuade people to join. Instead, we provide accurate information about the NA program and make recovery more visible and accessible.

The PR Committee serves the Greater Middle Tennessee Area by:

  • Maintaining the area website with current meeting and event information.
  • Operating the local NA helpline so people can speak with someone when they need help finding recovery.
  • Keeping meeting schedules accurate and making them available to groups, professionals, and the public.
  • Responding to requests for information from treatment centers, healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, and other members of the public.
  • Coordinating presentations that explain what Narcotics Anonymous is and how it can help.
  • Working with local media to provide public service announcements that increase awareness of NA.
  • Creating and distributing flyers, posters, and other informational materials.
  • Working with other NA service committees, as well as regional and world service bodies, to ensure consistent and effective communication.

Everything the PR Committee does is guided by the Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts of Narcotics Anonymous. Our focus is simple: making sure that when an addict reaches out for help, they can find Narcotics Anonymous and learn how recovery is possible.
